Carls Jr Burger Video - A little to far?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmgntNjRs4E

This is a Carls Jr. Burger Commercial. This is a video that many have heard about and even some have seen. You would never guess by the way the video starts out they are trying to sell a Spicy BBQ Burger. Unless you happen to catch a glimpse of her taking the one sec bite into it. Sex appeal for trying to sell a hamburger. Do you think that it works? Or the company went to far?

  • What the hell does this have to do with a burger?! I definitely agree with you that fast food commercials have gone way too far. This commercial is incredibly irrelevant. I can't believe what this world has come to. They should be worrying more why children are becoming obese at a higher rate than showing a celebrity who is so thin eating a gigantic burger.

  • That's so bad ad because it's not advertising about food from the beginning , it's just an ad to see how the sexy woman looks like. What's worrying me that if the child opens a clip like that to see just advertising about food and suddenly sees the commerical like that , I think he may have asthma and die. hahah I am just kidding about how come that ad is advertising about fast food.

  • Paris Hilton has nothing to do with spicy bbq burgers; this ad is just throwing sex at the viewers. The ad is memorable because of how overtly sexual it is but you don't remember the burger and they never even say the name of the company. I don't think it's an effective ad in terms of making people want to purchase their food. Also, I think the ad is almost more offensive to men than it is to women.

  • I agree with everyone, what was the point of pairing Paris Hilton and a burger? What a waste of money to pay Paris to be part of this ad. This ad would have been more effective to an audience looking to buy a new car. If you minus all the burger scenes, then the idea of sex appeal would have worked well for selling a car.
By the way Naveen, why would it be more offensive to men then women?
